Abstract. Organizations have developed collaborative alliances with the enterprises they interact with in the virtual environment. This paper explores virtualization, collaborative networks and virtual teams. The current status of collaborative practices and recent research activities in virtualization are reviewed to determine what further developments and research is anticipated.
